Licensure

Licensure is required for practice in Iowa as identified in Iowa Code sections 148.1 and 150A.1. The exceptions are identified in Iowa Administrative Code (IAC) 653 - Chapter 9.2(2).

Provisions for permanent licensure are found in IAC 653 - Chapter 9. Provisions for resident, special, and temporary physician licensure are found in IAC 653 IAC - Chapter 9.
